I love this medium. It freezes faster, cuts cleaner (without sticking to itself or the blade), and is slightly less thick compared to other mediums, allowing it to fill small areas that might otherwise have bubbles. It produces less bubbles because the thinner viscosity allows for quicker rising of bubbles which then pop. I highly recommend it.
Let me just say, this mounting medium is one of the best I have come across. I have been a Mohs Histo Tech for 12 years and have used many different brands of OCT in my time, but this product really stands out.
The viscosity of this embedding compound has been the biggest game changer for me. It is thinner than most OCT brands, which noticeably improved the embedding process. It flows easily into all the nooks and crannies around the tissue, making it easier to achieve a good embedding. Another major benefit I noticed was the lack of air bubbles, which made the entire process even smoother.
The compound also froze noticeably fast and rinsed off my slides beautifully during staining. My finished slides were clean, streak-free, and had a very good overall quality.
I am very satisfied with this product and look forward to making the switch. I can honestly say that anything that makes my job easier and improves the quality of my work is gold.

Unlike some freezing media that become excessively cold and brittle, causing the tissue or medium to shatter during sectioning, this product remains stable and cuts cleanly.
I appreciate that the viscosity is not overly thick, making it easy to work the medium into the notches and around the tissue without trapping air. This results in consistent embedding and reliable sections.
It also rinses off the slide well, leaving no residue.
